Trouville is renowned as the number one resort on the Côte Fleurie
(the Flowering Coast), then come Deauville, Villers-sur-Mer, Cabourg,
Houlgate and Honfleur, great resorts and rivals in their beauty and attractions.
To the west of Caen, Ouistreham
and Isigny-sur-Mer, another holiday resort has sprung to life, more family-oriented
and more reserved: the Côte de Nacre (the Pearl Coast). Marked by
history as the Normandy landings took place on this coastline one morning
